It's a sad day for the MCRmy.

I just can't see this as the end for them. This will probably just be a long hiatus.

This won't be the last we see of MCR.

Playground Eyes

This is a quote that really has me thinking lately. I'm actually really surprised I haven't seen it around more, because it really means a lot to me. And since I couldn't find really anything about how beautifully meaningful it is, I decided to make a tumblr-esque picture about it like most meaningful quotes have, and elaborate a little bit about why it means so much to me. ♥

So, I stumbled upon this quote when I was listening to My Chemical Romance's song S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W, and as I was listening, the term "playground eyes" really caught my eye. Lately I've been kind of revisiting my childhood, revisiting memories of warmer days of innocence. And writing an essay about To Kill a Mockingbird didn't really help either - the whole book seems to be based on childhood nostalgia. So I decided that for this post I was gonna incorporate a list of little things that bring me back to my childhood and remind me of the days I've been missing for so long. So without further nonsense, here's a list of the beautiful things that remind me of my childhood:

1. Listening to a CD you used to hear as a kid

2. Seeing moments happen in slow-motion

3. Playing with your old favorite toys

4. Eating your favorite food as a kid

5. Summer

6. Hearing the flapping of a flag

7. hearing your parents call you for dinner

8. Watching the birds and the butterflies in Spring

9. Roadtrips

10. Staying up late with your friends

11. Ice cream

12. Popsicles

13. going swimming

14. finding that one toy that just made your life better

15. stargazing on summer nights

16. catching fireflies

17. BBQ's

18. Hopscotch

19. Hearing your parents sing

20. Bubblebaths

21. Scavenger hunts

22. Finishing an amazing book

23. Buying new clothes

24. Riding bikes

25. Hide-and-seek

26. Going to the arcade

27. Birthday Parties

28. Tire swings

29. Building "forts"

30. Watching cartoons

31. Drinking cocoa after a long cold day

32. The first snow shower of the year

33. Getting presents

34. Play-Doh

35. Baking cookies

36. Wrapping things in newspaper

37. Making "time capsules"

38. Jumping off swings

39. Vacations to the beach

40. Your first rollercoaster

41. Making sandcastles

42. Hiding things in your yard

43. Easter egg hunts

44. Making your parents breakfast in bed

45. Chasing birds and squirrels and lizards

46. Your first time ice-skating

47. Taking pictures you'll remember forever

48. Going camping

49. Playing in the rain

50. Being free

I really hope you enjoyed my list.

Remember, when you're feeling down, just take a moment to see the world through your playground eyes.♥

An Anthem for the Lonely

My whole life I've been kind of a rocker, but generally the stuff I listen to is classic rock, nineties rock. The good stuff, and today I had a really hard time choosing between two songs from the same artist, just going to show how incredible this band is. They've been a long time favorite of mine, and below I've arranged a top 5 list for the week, starting with the amazing...

1. Plush-Stone Temple Pilots
This song.
I could go on and on with this song. The intro, the vocals, the lyrics, my god the lyrics...
So lets's start with why I love it so dang much;
The intro is literally my ringtone right now. It's so well put together, and even though the song has so much meaning and depth to it, it's an upbeat and downright great song. This is another one of my all-time favorites. The lyrics are especially meaningful to me, because I can relate to them right now. They take a little bit of analysis if you can't relate to them immediately, but some of the most prominent and exposed lines are the first four of the song;

And I feel, that time's a wasted go
(time is always wasted, no matter what you do with it)
So where're you going to tomorrow?
(So what are you gonna do with your wasted time? There's no point in trying)
And I see that these are lies to come

(Lies that what you do is worth something are coming)
But would you even care?

(referring to somebody who wronged him, asking him/her if they'd even care about what's going on)

Now me especially in the situation (or as I like to say, shituation) I've been in lately really helps me relate to this song. And of course people take lyrics in different ways and kind of morph it to fit into their specific situation, but for me this song is kind of, you could say, an anthem for the lonely. I feel it, Scott.

2. Desert Song-My Chemical Romance
....
This song leaves me speechless. Words can't even express the emotions this song strikes in me.

3. White Collar Lies-Kopek
You may not have heard of this song before, but you can listen to it here. I can assure you they aren't screamo, I don't listen to anything that hardcore. This is a political song mostly, but it's very meaningful to anybody who's lost someone dear in the military. It's just a beautiful and striking song.

4. Sleep Apnea-Chevelle
The way I see it, this is a song about somebody losing their mind from lack of sleep. But again; if it wasn't amazing, it wouldn't be on this list.♥

5. Deep End-School of Fish
This is a band that should've been popular, but in the 2000's when they came out, their lead singer died before they could become more well known. This is a great song, one that I used to listen to to get away from everything. I highly recommend checking them out, and please, at least give these songs a chance if you haven't heard them. Closed-minded people never got anywhere in life.♥

This is surprising, there isn't a single female artist on this list. These are a few select songs that have meant a lot to me lately, but generally I do listen to stuff a lot softer than these songs.
Thank you for reading! If you have any suggestions yourself of a recent favorite song, leave it in the comments.

My Playlist♥♪♫

I think I'm gonna start doing routine song/music suggestions. Music is my religion, and I couldn't live without it. I live, breathe and am music. So before I start doing suggestions, here are the current top ten on my playlist:

1. End of the Dream - Evanescence
This is the suggestion of the week. I've been an Evanescence fan ever since my big sister played The Open Door on a loop over and over when we were little. At the time I didn't want to admit that I liked it, but we both knew I did. This is off of their new self-titled album, and I thought it was beautiful. It's a little more hardcore than what I usually listen to, but something about it definitely gets to me.

2. All Too Well - Taylor Swift
You call me up again so you can break me like a promise, so casually cruel in the name of being honest..
The lyrics are so beautiful and poetic. I love this song.

3. Free - Haley Reinhart
I'm currently learning the piano part. This song is beautiful, and even though she didn't write it herself, she completely makes up for that in vocal delivery.

4. Counting Blue Cars - Dishwalla
This song is just awesome. Downright well put together. I was going to perform this for my talent show, but I chickened out. :B I love it. :3

5. Give 'Em Hell, Kid - My Chemical Romance
I love this song, mostly for personal reasons. If you, were here, I'd never have a fear, so go and live your life, but I miss you more than I did yesterday...

6. Syndicate - The Fray
This is a great song. It's really nice to start your week off with, because it's just really...nice.

7. Under the Bridge - Red Hot Chili Peppers
I hope they won awards for this song..it's so beautifully put together, the guitarists deserve grammy's for it. This entire song is just epic.

8. Get Back - Demi Lovato
You'll see Demi a lot on my playlists, and this song is the reason I fell in love with her. When this music video premiered on Disney, I was probably nine years old. I already liked her, but this...this was just amazing. She's been one of my biggest idols since I saw this, and I really respect her. She's my biggest vocal inspiration next to Amy Lee, and while I don't like how she doesn't write her songs, they kick ass.

9. Walk - The Foo Fighters
Dave Grohl, you've done it again. This is an awesome song, hands down.

10. Man in the Box - Alice in Chains
I love AIC, and I had a hard time deciding between my favorites. But this week is a Man in the Box week. ;)

Any music suggestions? I'm going to be doing a "Song of the Week" segment, and if you have suggestions let me know!
